While all our ingredients are gluten free, to ensure there is no gluten contamination during production we test and publish the results of each batch. Our packaging, like every chocolate brand, is made before we produce each batch.  So rather than putting a gluten free claim on the pack without making sure the current batch has zero contamination, we test after and post results below. 

 

Batch no. 7082 is Gluten Free.

Health Facts: What makes Pumpy Jackson unique?

1. Almost no sugar.

Pumpy Jackson chocolate contains less than a teaspoon of sugar (4.2%) in a whole block compared to up to 7 teaspoons in many other leading brands.

2. Almost ZERO fructose.
Pumpy Jackson has only 0.2g of fructose per 100g. Some other leading 'healthy' brands contain almost the equivalent fructose level as a can of coca cola soft drink. Excess dietary fructose has been associated with increased risk of obesity, diabetes and high blood triglycerides (fat in the bloodstream).

3. No sugar alcohols or polydextrose.

These sweeteners are often added to sugar free chocolates, however, they often trigger bloating, flatulence and diarrhoea in people.

4. High in natural fibre.
Pumpy Jackson is unusual in its high natural fibre content derived from chicory root, chia and almonds. Fibre is important for feeling fuller for longer, helping digestive regularity and feeding our important healthy gut bugs. 

5. High in antioxidant polyphenols.
Pumpy Jackson contains more of the beneficial antioxidants from the cocoa bean than do regular milk chocolates. These antioxidants have been found to help with cardiovascular health, skin health and gut health. 

6. Types of fats.

Pumpy Jackson is mostly made up of stearic acid and medium chain triglycerides (MCTs). These oils are less prone to oxidative damage in the body and do not raise cholesterol when consumed as part of a balanced diet.

7. Low allergen.

No added dairy, gluten, grains, soy, artificial flavours or artificial colours making it safer for many people with food intolerances and allergies.
